Research For A New Journey #SoulTies

Happy Holidays Everyone,

It has been awhile since I have blogged. I know I don't blog often, and it is a habit I'm trying to rekindle. Maybe this will be a 2014 goal for myself.

So, I'm sure you read my title and might be thinking, a journey? soul ties? what?

Yes, I am starting a new journey/goal on something I was told I would one day do. It is actually something I told myself I would do under certain circumstances, but despite the outcome I believe this journey is necessary. So yes, I am starting my research with soul ties. No, it is not my goal to create one, YET, but if anything break ones I have created and develop ones that are beneficial to my spirit-man.

However, I am starting my research with soul ties. I asked a young man at work one night what is his view on soul ties. I was waiting for him to give me the deep spiritual this is a violation to the body Christ spill. Instead he gave me an insight that never crossed my mind. It was at that moment I came to the conclusion that there is a positive and negative to what Christians have coined as "Soul ties."

Let's be honest, us Christians tend to be self-righteous at times, and tend to be somewhat one-sided. But for me, the more I learn and research, the more liberated I feel in my mind, and the more freedom I feel in my relationship with Christ. Not only do I feel liberated, but depending on the time and situation, conviction takes place as well. It's nothing like being corrected and becoming wiser through the Word of God. And by the Word of God I don't just mean from the bible, but from what He whispers to me in my ears, in my heart, and in my Spirit. It's like an instant installation of Christ grace and mercy revealed. Showing me and telling me when He covered me, how He covers me, and how He will continue to do so. As long as I continue to seek Him.

So back to my research, after hearing my co-workers view I did some research of my own. Yes, I wanted to disagree with his view right away, but I decided not to, instead I really like his view. Therefore I went to Firefox, typed in Google and researched "soul ties" and I came across this page that confirmed what I just heard.

As we mostly know, soul ties are often created through sexual acts, and depending on the relationship, whether single or married, soul ties can be negative and others can be positive. We know a lot about what an abusive soul tie can do, but what about one that's covered with vows and commitment made before God? We can look at a soul tie created between married people as being equally yoked, but with greater depths. They meet each other spiritually, they fill each other spiritually, they are intertwined and are ONE as they should be. Ephesians 5:31, "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh."

What are your thoughts? Married couples, would you say that you and your husband have created a soul tie that benefits your marriage, that you all are intertwined.  Single people, would you say you have created a soul tie that has led to abuse or have you bounded yourself to the Will and Works of Christ.

Would you say soul ties can also be bind through obsession? Connecting yourself with something that is hard to break from? Would you say bad habits are like soul ties? Developing a routine with this habit, it is your fix, your soul is bind to it, but it's abusive and causes you to neglect yourself and those around you who need you.

Soul ties have two sides is the point I am trying to make, and I honestly believe (for relationship purposes) they can still be abusive if you are married. Again, we know soul ties to be abusive and "demonic" and if you're in a marriage that is abusive and endangers your life I believe it to be wise to leave. But if you can't because you don't want to see beyond the abuse I will call it a soul tie.You are commited to this spouse, you did it right, but in the mist of it you found something that crept into your marriage that you have bounded yourself too. (my opinion, maybe I'm wrong)

Personally, I believe it's all in creating boundaries, and knowing what God has for you. Recognizing and knowing how to attack demonic forces and ungodly ties that will hinder you and remove you from the will of God. And being grateful for the grace and mercies God extends to us daily, NEW ones at that!

God, whatever soul ties we have created that are not allowing us to accomplish your will we ask that you will remove them! And give us those things that you will have our soul and spirited connected to that will bring us everlasting life, freedom, prosperity, joy, and peace! AMEN

To Know Gods Will

Last night was my first night back on night shift. So trying to get up was a bit tough, even after 6 hours of sleep; however, I had this urgency to run, so that is what I did.

As I was ending my run I found myself praying in reference to being IN Gods will, and letting His willing be done in my life. But as I was saying "Lord, help me to know Your will" the word KNOW really struck a cord with me. Often we want to be in His will, but do we KNOW what His will is for ourselves.

To know, to have knowledge of what God has planned for your life is important. We can't go into this thing blind. Yes, we walk by faith and not by sight, but God wants us to be able to recognize when He is moving, and that is where faith takes place.

I found this article on "8 ways to Know God's Will" and I am not saying I agree with them all and I am not saying that I don't, but I found some great points.

  • God will never ask us to do something contrary to his Word, but he demands obedience in the clearly revealed things, and obedience to the commission to make disciples may thrust us out.
  •  God has entrusted us with certain unique personal resources; how will we use them?
  • Taking steps of faith in one direction can help us affirm God’s will as he either redirects us or confirms the direction we take.

Dear God,

Help us to KNOW Your will for our lives! Help us to KNOW how to maneuver in the will You have set for our lives. Increase our faith and help us to TRUST Your will. AMEN

I hum...... #RandomPost

Sometimes I hum myself a lullaby
It leads me to my sleep
It soothes
It comforts
It allows me to escape

Sometimes I think my hums are me unknowingly praying to God
It happens so suddenly
That moments have passed that I realized I have come to this place

I don't always know what they mean
How they started
How they ended
Or the musical notes that are being chimed

This I do know
My hums lead me to a peaceful place

I don't know why I am posting about my hums, a little habit I have developed with age. I was raised with a grandfather that hums a lot, so maybe that's the root of it. I just think it so strange, because I can hum for several minutes and not realize it. As a baby I sucked my tongue, and I still do at the age of 25. It's a comforting place for me, but now humming has been added to that list of little habits.

Edits- A Load Of Life

I have changed the name of the blog... Added to the description....

It is not because I am not in pursuit of my bachelors, business, Boaz (future husband) and baby

I have just arrived to a place where I just want to be HAPPY

Where I am not falling into the plans of man

Because my friends are all happily coupled off, doesn't meant I need to be too

Because all my friend have achieved scholastically doesn't mean they are in the best position of their lives

I just long for a simple life, with the few grand pleasures and desires that I have set in my heart

But lets move on,

My frustration is breaching

And I recently found a new stress point that is aching

It scares me how frustration and stress effects me

I mean, is this apart of being 25? Is this a part of becoming an adult?

I'll be honest, I rather be taken care of at this point in my life

Spoiled? Maybe...

Don't get me wrong

I don't mind working hard

But there are certain things in my life I wish I didn't have to worry about

Or had the resources to handle the situation

Or just had someone to help me

To some of you all my burden may seem like nothing

But for me it is a load of life I am learning to carry and maneuver through

I guess it is my welcome into adulthood

Where I realize that dreams are no longer be played with

That they budge you until you listen

Where I realize love is no longer a game, but a place of happiness

Where I realize those closest to me are in dire need of me

It is a load of life

Where I realize I am now more accountable to what I hear and say

Confessions of "A Girl Next Door"

Confessions of a
Girl Next Door
Mama has never told me
But I've heard the saying
I've heard the song
"Don't go around breaking young boys heart!"
Never really knew how effortless that is....

Anyway, I've seen it happen with MYSELF twice recently. It's not my intent. It's just before you know it they're pouring out emotions. And it happens so innocently. I use to feel that I was the right person for every guy I have met. That's not pride. That's just how they made me feel! And I HATE that emotion! So I do everything to pull away. I wish mama taught me to be more careful. It's a lesson I have had to learn myself!
